Recycling Potential for Non-Valorized Plastic Fractions from Electrical and Electronic Waste

NONTOX project partner FRA (Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV) together with TUM (Technical University of Munich) wrote a paper to characterize the composition of plastics deriving from the waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In detail, the study aims at characterizing plastic fractions from Electrical and Electronic Equipment currently excluded from recycling since they contain substances of concern and at evaluating the recycling potential of these fractions through different processes, achieving high purity polymers with no degradation of their technical properties.
